I miss regular programming during Holiday season.

You must realize that your main audience is senior citizens. Many of us find the "holidays" depressing and do not appreciate your programming. You begin BEFORE Halloween and continue until New Year's day. You also add another 17 days during the summer. Please consider your audience and be more considerate

HALLMARK CARDS PURCHASED ONLINE & SENT BY MAIL ARE A RIP OFF

I am in my 70's and disabled. I cannot reasonably travel to a store and shop for cards myself. My problem is NOT with my local store who has been nothing but helpful and accommodating to me when I need cards by searching for what I need and then reading samples to me over the phone. They set my selections aside and my husband picks them up. HERE IS MY PROBLEM Recently I had a number of family birthdays coming up along with Valentine's Day. I did not want to take advantage of the sore managers kindness and ask her to work with me over the phone so many. So, I tried the Hallmark website for the first time and ordered what I needed from their narrow selection. Some of them went to my local store for pick up by my husband and the rest were mailed to my home. It allowed me to shop on my own for cards for the first time in years. EACH card that had to be mailed to me came in a separate and substantial box, big enough to hold more cards than you normally get when you buy a whole box of the same thing - like Christmas cards. Of course there was a separate "handling" charge and postage for each one as well. What an in-your-face-rip-off by Hallmark corporate to consumers. You only have to burn me once. I will not order from their website again. Old, but not stupid.

I have no gripe against Hallmark per se. Some of your policies are obsolete as far as other retail stores. My main gribe is the fact that the cards are so, so expensive. Occasionally I might want an expensive card but generally I am looking for a card that fulfills my needs and is well priced. That does not seems to be the case with Hallmark. I will have to go elsewhere to do my card business. Thank you for the opportu;nity to express my concerns

Denied a senior citizen discount

I am a platinum hallmark rewards customer. I always go to the Hallmark location 3236 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE. I have always been pleased with the staff and the service. I always go on Tuesday since that has been senior citizen day. This past Tuesday, March 27, I went to the store. I had a 40% off one item coupon which was going to expire on April 2. I purchased a birthday gift and used the 40% coupon for that item. I also had a $2 reward certificate. I had 8 cards when I got to the register. I asked about the senior citizen discount. I was told I could use the $2 certificate or get the senior discount -- but I could not do both. I stated clearly I have always been able to redeem my reward certificate and get the discount on Tuesday. The response was, "well that was wrong". I spend a lot of money at Hallmark as witnessed by my platinum status. Has your policy changed? Why should I accumulate these rewards certificates and have to give up my senior discount?

Sr. Citizen discounts can not be combined with any other discounted items.

The rewards dollars is like cash. It can be used with any purchase. No one is given a Sr.

Citizen discount on a 40% off reward. It's just the way it is and has always been.

Manager and Employee being deceitful.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have never had an experience with a store manager who actually lied to the customer. I went in a store in Centerville, OH to exchange a couple of "pop jewels" for a bracelet I was given by my daughter. The cashier first said I needed a receipt. She looked on the bottom of the jewels and said the color coded stickers weren't there and there was no way she could tell how much they were worth (little did I know the manager was standing close to her as we talked). The cashier didn't seem to know anything about this jewelry that the store sells. At first she wasn't too cooperative. I asked for a manager twice. She told me the manager wasn't there, and to come back the next day. (Again, the manager was standing right there and could have resolved the issue instantly). I then said I would come back when the manager was there. She agreed. When I did come back I exchanged the one stone for a color I liked. The manager didn't seem to have any problems doing the exchange. I brought it home and realized it didn't fit. It was loose and kept falling out. I called a number (Hallmark rep) that was given to me from the jeweler I looked up online. The person was going to call this manager and tell her to fix the stone so it would fit. I went back today and she denied getting such a call and said she thought my problem was resolved the last time I was in. No, I told her the stone was loose. She then examined it herself and found out I was right, but gave no apologies. She tried to adjust it, but it was still too small. I asked her why I was told by the cashier (who was there today), that the manager wasn't there the first time I came in, and she just shrugged it off and said she didn't know why. When I asked for an apology, she wouldn't give me one. Then, I went over to talk to the cashier who denied she ever said the manager wasn't there, to come back tomorrow!! They were both lying! I asked for the owner's phone number and name, but have to wait until she's back in town. When I was leaving the store, they were laughing and making comments (along with another customer) before I even got out the door. I'm 73, in good shape (mind and body), and I've never in my life been treated like I was a lunatic...and that I was lying! She'll probably ever be reprimanded, as I've heard even the owners don't really care. I'm sure the manager will get the benefit of the doubt...not me. I will never go to any Hallmark Card store again. I've read a lot of bad reviews.

Frustrated Regular Customer

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was excited every time I pay a visit to Any Amys Hallmark Shop here in Las Vegas. I am a Platinum Member and this only shows how much I admire and love the Hallmark products.

Today, August 4th,2017 I and my husband decided to visit one of the location that we seldom visit due to location itself which is quite a distance from our house and work. We intentionally drove at least 15-20 miles after I get off from work, and excitedly went to Amys Hallmark Shop located at 7900 W Tropical Pkwy Las Vegas, NV 89149 at exactly 9:49am and purchased 2 items instead of three hoping that I get a "Military Discount" on top of My Coupons but this lady that works by herself in the Cashier section disappointed me and my husband when she told us that she cannot give me a military discount since it cannot be combined with a coupon. This was a big surprised to us since We already purchased many times from different locations over Las Nevada from Amys Hallmark Shop which explains why I have reached the Platinum level . Even if I have 2-3 Coupons that I had used in one or two separate transactions in my previous purchased , either a percentage coupon or a cash reward coupon that I had to use before, the Cashier always gave me my military discount on top of that with no problem.

So I don't understand why this lady( which is unfortunately I forgot to get her name) is saying that It never happened before?

She is the most unwelcoming person I have ever encountered and she made us look like we don't know what we are saying about the "military discount" which in fact that is why we asked for it because we knew about it and we got it based from our experiences and purchases. I just wanna write this review to show my dismay and I hope if there is a new policy that amys hallmark shop made recently about discounts and combined coupons especially military discounts, I hope they will enhance their process of communications to their employees and so the employees as well will do the same and encourage to improve their customer service even more.

Shame on you Hallmark!

Hallmark puts out the same cards year after year! My husband or myself have purchased the same card for three birthdays for our son-in-law and two for Easter cards! How crazy that they don't come up with new ideas each year. Get new artist with fresh ideas or new script writers. Yeah we had a laugh. I know it sounds funny but we both pick out cards. How cheap can they be to keep recycling the same cards. I am now going to switch to American Greetings or another card company! I am done with Hallmark!!!! I think it is a real shame that we were put into this situation.

Owner's Son out of line

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

On December 16, 2016, my husband, my son and I went into the Hallmark at 5th avenue mall. We were browsing around, and my son picked up a couple of things that he had wanted us to buy.

One was a small glass xmas tree ornament and the other one was a tiny candle that lights up. we were undecided as to whether we wanted to purchase those items. We walked around some more and then we finally decided not to purchase the ornament and I had set it down on one of the display tables. It happened to be that the owner's son, Lucas Henry, (we had found out his name after going back to store and asking one of the cashiers there.) was walking out from the back and must've seen me lay the ornament out of place.

He picked up the item and walked off. We decided not to buy the candle either and we didn't know exactly where our son had grabbed it from so we set it on one of their shelves. As we were on our way out the door, Lucas Henry called out and asked us" where did you guys put the candle?" My husband told him that we had set it down on one of the shelves. Lucas Henry then said, "well go get it for me and I'll put it back where it's supposed to be." My husband then went to grab the item and handed it to him.

My husband felt as if he was accusing us of stealing. So my husband told him.."it's not like we're going to steal it or anything." On our way out, my husband and I felt bad about how we were treated by that person...and I felt that it was wrong for that person to treat us that way, so we decided to go back to the store and talk to either him or a manager. That's when we found out that his name and that he was one of the owner's son. I could not stop myself by telling him that it was not right for him to watch us and single us out.

I also said that it's not like we are the only ones that leave stuff and not put them back. I'm sure that there were other customers that did the same thing and he probably did not say anything. I told him that he made us feel like we were stealing. Some of the workers there were asking what was happening and he then said, while helping customers, that we were leaving stuff all over the store and that it was not right and that he didn't want his store messed up.

That made me more angry and we felt degraded because he was making us look bad in front of other people. He then said, it's OK. I replied that it was not and we walked out of the store. I then happened to look back at him and he was just smiling and laughing.

we are not the type of people that would go into a store and deliberately leave things everywhere or mess up the store. it's a store and I've worked at retail stores before and we found misplaced items everywhere and it was part of our job every night after closing time to put items back to where they belong.

It's part of the business...but never once did we ever tell customers comments such as what this person said to us. We felt so bad that we couldn't get what happened out of our minds for days even until now and I am sure that it will stay with us for a long time.

Hallmark - Commercial Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My family and I are very disappointed in the Hallmark Commercial showing two men embracing one another. We do not believe in anything but marriage between one man and one woman as the Holy Bible states.

It was meant to be that way so the earth could replenish itself. Two males cannot produce a baby nor can two women. According to God, he will leave us to a reprobate mind and cast those who do not confess their sins into ***. I donot appreciate having your liberal views thrown into our face.

If these commercials continue we will not purchase your products nor will we watch your TV programs. Shame on you Hallmark for falling into this liberal view.

Why you religious fanatics think your way is the only was is ridiculous. There is no god and the bible is nothing but an old collection of fiction stories.

It means nothing. But that's fine for you if you believe it.

Just leave the rest of us alone. Mind your own business.

Just because you deny God's existence doesn't make Him go away. You will answer to Him one day.

Repent and trust Christ as your Savior. Otherwise the wages for your sin is eternity in ***

Are you kidding me? I can only assume you have been living under a rock for some time. Hallmark's LGBT stance is well documented and nothing new:

Please do Hallmark and its tolerance-loving consumers a favor and take your ugly business elsewhere.

I agree ..bad commercial !!

I don't agree with the commercial !!!

I don't card to have a commercial advertising *** guys!!!

If I walk into the store I choose not to buy the cards like that ..

but in a tv commercial it is forced !

Bad business .. bad idea!

Guest

If that's you stance then you probably want to know that they have already been selling same-sex hallmark cards for quite a long time, right? I just figured you didn't know because it baffled me before that someone didn't appreciate the commercial for views the company had for quite a while.

In any case, I respect your opinion regardless if I support it or not.

After watching your latest commercial there will be NO more purchases of your hall mark cards for this family. Have heard a lot of people talking about the commercial and it is not favorable for your company. We don't have to sit back and put up with this.

Not treated fair

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I live in pa and went to the hallmark store in the waterworks. I purchased the nhl ornament and went to the cashier. This is the fourth one I purchased this year. When I went to the cashier I gave her the 5 dollar off coupon I received from the first purchase I made earlier. The cashier told me I could not use a valid coupon because it was not stapled to the receipt. I told her that I had the receipt with me showed her she looked at it and told me that I could not use the valid coupon because it wasn't stapled to the receipt even after she looked at the receipt. I said it was not stapled to the receipt that she could see there were no staple marks. So I had to pay full price instead of using my coupon. I did not think that was fair. She told me to complain to the pittsburgh mills location store. Carolyn Grimaldi dgrimaldi711@***.net

Hallmark - Vera Bradley Wallet Review from Independence, Kentucky

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I went into the shall mark store in Florence, ky. I had just spent$178.00 on a Vera purse, wallet and cosmetic bag. When I got home I noticed a stain on the wallet and the change part would not close. The manager came out. At first very pleasant, but then it went downhill. She said I had damaged the wallet and put a stain on it. I explained to her, that it was like that when I got home. She basically said not her problem. Picked up my bag and receipt turned to leave. A sales clerk came around the counter and started screaming at me that no product would ever leave the store damaged. I said yes it was damaged. This clerk called me a liar. That was absolutely unnecessary or professional. This clerk was raising her voice. She kept following me while I was trying to leave the store screaming at me. My husband who was sitting across from the store on a bench heard the woman screaming that I was a liar. Yes, this made me very angry. I turned around and slammed the wallet on the counter and turned to the manager and this clerk. I stated that I didn't need it. We had an appointment. Later that evening my husband went back to the same store to get the wallet as it was expensive. Oddly, no one knew what he was talking about. My wallet receipt couldn't be found. I wrote a check for the merchandise. I spent $178.00 in that store. There is no reason to speak to another human the way I was spoken to.i am considering contacting our consumer advocate.

Climb out from under your rock. This is 2019.....two men or two women kissing is not offensive. What IS offensive is narrow minded people who don’t care about the starving children at the border but are concerned with consenting adults showing love.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1720361

No what is offensive is a gay man passing himself off as straight and hitting on a straight woman to fulfill his Hallmark contract. Gay on gay and lesbian on lesbian but no gays on straights either way.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1790020

And who exactly are YOU to tell someone who they can love? You have no right what so ever to interject YOUR view points.

If you don’t like it then you can change the channel. But be warned, it’s EVERYWHERE!!!! You might as well stop watching tv. I swear!!

Where do you dinosaurs come from? It’s almost 2020!! The old ways are gone. You have no right to tell anyone at all who they can go after.

You seem to think that your sexual is carved in Stone. Sorry buddy it’s NOT! There are plenty of instances of fully straight men with wives who “turn to the dark side”. Who after 20,30,40 years of marriage divorce their wives and go gay.

There is nothing wrong with that but it does go to show you that your notions of sexuality are under developed. Hallmark is in the business of catering to their customers. What that says is that they are pandering to the group that has the most money to waste. There would be a giant upside to being gay that YOU can’t see for the intolerant glasses you wear.

NO CHILDREN!!! That means they have the money to live however they want. It also means they have money to burn. Hallmark is just doing business.

You are taking offense because in your mind being gay is bad and if a gay likes a straight person it somehow reflects on YOU.

What that suggests is that you are a closeted person. One who should probably leave said closet before they find a dress they like.
